Workplace Fundraising

Whether your workplace launches a bake sale, casual-dress day, trivia or movie night, fun-runs or walks – you and your team can raise much-needed funds for the animals in our shelters.

Alternatively, you can create a fundraising page using our online workplace fundraising platform, ask your colleagues to support you, and watch the donations roll in!

How your fundraising helps RSPCA

Here’s how your workplace fundraising activities can help our animal friends:

$200

Can go towards desexing a dog, provide essential vaccinations and a microchip to prepare her for adoption.

$500

Can help cover the cost of caring for a neglected horse for a month, including specialised dental care, vaccinations and worming.

$1,000

Can help keep our Inspectors on the road to rescue animals from situations of cruelty and prosecute animal cruelty offenders.

By fundraising for the RSPCA, your efforts will have a direct and positive impact on animal welfare across Victoria.

Fundraising ideas for the office

Workplace fundraising is a great way to bring your colleagues together in a more casual setting, while generating much-needed funds for the RSPCA. Here are a couple of ideas to get you started:

  • Fun runs or walk-a-thons (there are many throughout the year)
  • Free dress days
  • Pizza days or bake sales
  • Trivia or movie nights
  • Pet photo competitions

How to start fundraising!

Not sure how to raise money for the RSPCA? Follow these simple steps!

Ask for support from your company

Ask your employer to get involved by matching the funds you raise. Let your manager know this donation will be tax-deductible.

 Decide responsibilities

A good start would be to form a committee to engage staff at your organisation – this can be a great way to include other people at your workplace. If you choose to do this, make sure you meet regularly and that each person has a clear role, such as communications logistics, printing or who will run the event on the day. Drawing up an

event plan will help you to understand what tasks need to be done.

Setup a fundraising page

Go online and setup a fundraising page at fundraising.rspcavic.org!

Create a team name and add an image/logo. You now have a central location to make contributions, invite support from your colleagues and track your fundraising impact throughout the year.
